Thread: Is the tide turning...?

    Default Is the tide turning...?

I was somewhat taken aback by Alton Towers' decision to basically insist all men wear swimming shorts and that those wearing trunks (plus I take it ops's would be out!) would be shown the door. I sense that society is getting more conservative around this (only for men though, apparently it's OK for women to let it all hang out) what does everyone else think?

Tell them that changing into tight speedos is cleaner than day-long wearing loose shorts. Show them stains of excretions waiting for pool water on the builtin mesh briefs of shorts. In my country swimming shorts are forbidden in public pools because they could have been worn for a long time and stay still dirty despite a shower before entering the pool.

To me all this is total Bull ****.... Just attacking men again....
Why after many years of men wearing Speedos it is now a problem... It is all hyped up by media Bull ****...

Look at some of the crap that women wear now... Nothing in the media about it....

These people in the media who say what you can and cannot wear are a bunch of brain dead ******s...

Keep on wearing your one piece swimsuits.... Do not take any notice of all the crap..

Send Alton Towers an email... Tell them what you feel and say that you will never go to them...

In my email i said are you going to stop upsetting family's by letting women have big wedges but men cannot wear swim briefs

I know this is grave digging, but I've looked all over the alton towers site and I can't find anything about a dress code for swim wear except to say that out door wear isn't permitted.

Hopefully they've had a rethink then

I was at the said alton towers water park with my family a few weeks ago. i wore my Nike Jammers which are skin tight lycra, but cycle short length legs. Nobody said anything to me. I guess it is the 'brief' style speedos that are under scrutiny here? My jammers are skin tight so there was a bit of a 'bulge' like you would get with other speedo briefs, so obviously this didn't give any offence. seeing grossly overweight women in a tight fitting swimsuit does cause offence to me though ;o)
